The Staff Selection Commission conducted the written examination for the candidates who had qualified in PST/PET for recruitment of Constables (GD) in BSF,CISF,CRPF and SSB, 2011 on 5.6.2011 in different centres. 2,63,346 candidates appeared for the above examination, out of which OMR sheets of 31,093 candidates were rejected as per notice for the recruitment and awarded zero marks.
As per scheme of the Recruitment, the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination for SC,ST& OBC candidate is 33% and that for General and Ex-servicemen is 35%. There are some states/UTs where availability of candidates with these qualifying marks is limited, while in others large number of such candidates is available. Domicile in a state/UT is an eligibility condition laid down for consideration against vacancies in the State/UT. Keeping these factors in view Commission has fixed the following qualifying criteria for different States/UTs.
