Recruitment of Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2011 was held on 15.5.2011 at various centres scattered all over the country. 15105 candidates actually appeared in this examination.

As per the scheme of the Recruitment, the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination for SC, ST and OBC candidates is 33% and that for UR and Ex. S. candidates is 35%. There are some states/UTs where availability of candidates with these qualifying marks is limited, while in others, large number of such candidates are available. Domicile in a state/UT is an eligibility condition laid down for consideration against vacancies in the State/UT. Keeping these factors in view, Commission fixed the following qualifying criteria for different States/UTs.
