The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon visited India from 1 to 4 September 2012.This was the fifth visit to India by President Emomali Rahmon. During this visit, India and Tajikistan signed six agreements in the field of sports, health, culture, education, labour, textiles and energy.
It was also decided that India would increase training slots for Tajikistan from 100 to 150 under India Technology and Eco Training Programme. In the course of his visit, President of Tajikistan also addressed a business meeting jointly organised by ASSOCHAM, CII and FICCI.
