Recruitment To The Post of Head Constable (Combatised Ministerial)

Applications are invited from Indian Citizens, for filling up the following vacancies on temporary basis likely to be permanent in the post of Head Constable(Combatised Ministerial) Group ‘C’ in Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force. The post has All India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India
and even abroad. On appointment, the candidate shall be governed by the ITBPF Act and Rules. Last date for receipt of applications is 14th July, 2011 for all States except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman &Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which last date is 21st July, 2011.

Pay Scale and Other Allowances

  • Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,400/- per month.

  • Other allowances: The post will carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Washing Allowance as admissible from time to time, Special Compensatory Allowance while posted in specified border areas, free uniform, free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Free leave pass and any other allowances as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules/instructions. These posts will be covered under new Restructured Defined Contribution Pension Scheme.

Eligibility Conditions

Age Limit : Between 18 to 25 Years

Qualification :

  • Senior Secondary Certificate from a recognized Board or equivalent .
  • Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi only on computer.

Medical Standards

  • Eye sight: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes with correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
  • The candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Selection Process

The eligible candidates shall be issued Admit cards to appear in recruitment test. The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in Admit card.
Candidates will have to undergo the following tests:-

  1. Checking of Documents
  2. Physical Standards Test
  3. Written Test
  4. Skill Test
  5. Interview
  6. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
  7. Appeal against rejection in detailed medical examination:

Eligible and interested candidates should send their Applications (duly filled in Hindi or English only) complete in all respects and Candidate’s Admit Card duly filled in, in the prescribed proforma as per Annexure ‘I’ and Annexure ‘II.’ The application shall be type written or neatly hand written on one side only on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on application/admit card duly attested by Gazetted Officer along with application fee, enclosures as mentioned in para-8 to the The Inspector General (Special) Frontier, ITB Police, West Block, Wing-2, Sector-1, R K Puram, New Delhi - 110066 so as to reach on or before the prescribed last date i.e. 14th July, 2011, for all States except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub- Division of Chamba District of HP, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and
